I have experienced first-hand the powerful effects of eating well, especially during pregnancy and after giving birth to my son. Raising a family while trying to carry out other commitments can seem like a difficult balancing act and research shows that people often prioritise others before themselves, leading to poor dietary habits, nutritional imbalances, and subsequently impacting health and wellbeing.
I firmly believe that being in a state of optimal health by addressing our lifestyle and nutritional status is at the heart of it all. It not only helps to safeguard cognitive function, mood, the immune system and digestive health, it can reduce the risk of developing the many chronic health conditions that we see today.
I have been in the Nutrition field for over eight years, working in Performance Nutrition, Corporate Wellness, Maternal Nutrition research at The Women's & Children's Hospital in Adelaide, spent many hours health coaching new and expectant mothers, consulting in private practice and writing for The Australian Breastfeeding Association.
During this time, I have noticed a clear gap in the support available to people that want to address diet, health and lifestyle concerns. My mission is to unravel the complex perceptions around eating well, to encourage, support and help my clients understand their individualised needs.
I am able to identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how they may be contributing towards your health.
