We collect personal information that is necessary to deliver comprehensive nutrition services. Prior to the initial consultation, all new clients are required to complete a Health Questionnaire. The information collected may include, but is not limited to, the client's name, contact details, medical and health history, family medical history, lifestyle information, health and nutrition goals.
This Personal Information is obtained in many ways including client intake forms, consultations, correspondence, by telephone, by email and from third parties such as referring health professionals.
Use of Personal Information
Personal Information is collected for the primary purpose of providing nutrition services, including assessments, consultations and follow-up care. We may also use your personal information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, such as appointment reminders, health updates, and relevant wellness information, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect.
Disclosure of Personal Information
We do not disclose personal information to third parties without your written consent or where required or authorised by law. In exceptional circumstances, information may be disclosed without prior consent where there is a serious and imminent risk to the clients health, safety or wellbeing. We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose client personal information to third parties for marketing, advertising, or commercial purposes.

Personal information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Personal information is stored securely, and access is restricted to authorised personnel only

You may access the personal information we hold about you. If you wish to access your personal information, please contact us in writing. New Steps Nutrition and Wellness will not charge any fee for your access request but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your personal information. To protect your personal information we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

It is an important to us that your personal information is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to make sure that your personal information is accurate, complete and up-to-date.
